People often ask, "How can counseling help?" It can be helpful to talk to a close friend or family member about our problems. But sometimes, we need help that others around us are unable to provide. When you need extra support, an outside perspective, or some expert guidance, talking to a counselor can help.

Counseling or psychotherapy is a process focused on helping you heal and learn more constructive ways to deal with the problems or issues within your life. Generally counseling is recommended whenever a person is grappling with a life, relationship or work issue or a specific mental health concern, and these issues are greatly affecting an individual's daily functioning.

If you have made the decision to start counseling, you are now in the process of finding the right therapist who can assist with your current concerns.  I am a Licensed Professional Counselor who specializes  in the area of anxiety including social anxiety, phobias, and panic attacks and in Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) . Other areas of clinical interests include depression, grief/trauma, adjustment issues, assisting adolescents transition to adulthood, stress management, and relationship problems.
